Professional and Vocational Licensing (PVL)
Due to COVID-19 and for the health and safety of both consumers and staff, walk-in services at the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs offices are unavailable to the public through Sunday, May 31st.
During this period, staff continue to telework and remain available to meet the needs of the public over the phone (808-586-3000) and by email (reach the appropriate Board, Program, or Commission via https://cca.hawaii.gov/pvl/contact/).

Walk-in service will resume on June 1, with abbreviated hours from 7:45 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday through Friday. The public is strongly encouraged to continue calling in or utilizing online services at this time.
LICENSE RENEWAL EXTENSION: The deadline to renew current licenses that expire by June 30, 2020, has been extended to July 31, 2020. Licenses eligible for the extension are listed here.
Licensees that hold an active and current license may continue to perform licensed activities until July 31, 2020, as permitted by current state law and administrative rules, in compliance with existing emergency proclamations and executive orders.

PRINT YOUR LICENSE POCKET ID AND WALL CERTIFICATE ONLINE
Effective April 18, 2019, you must retrieve and print your pocket ID card and wall certificate via your MyPVL account. No other notice will be provided.

Enforcement of the state’s licensing laws for these boards and programs are handled by DCCA’s Regulated Industries Complaints Office (RICO) .
