Notice of Public Hearing: Hawaiian Electric’s Farrington Highway Widening Project June 4th, 2024

We want to ensure you’re informed about an upcoming public hearing regarding Hawaiian Electric Company, Inc.’s (Hawaiian Electric) proposed construction project. On June 4, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., the State of Hawaii Public Utilities Commission will hold a hearing at Kapolei Middle School Cafeteria to discuss Hawaiian Electric’s Application (Docket No. 2023-0234) concerning the Farrington Highway Widening Project.
Hawaiian Electric seeks approval for the commitment of approximately $9,833,040 in funds for the project. Additionally, the proposal includes the relocation of a 46 kV overhead and underground sub-transmission line through a residential area and the installation of one new 138kV pole.
This public hearing provides an opportunity for residents to voice their views on the proposed project. Copies are also available for review by contacting the Commission’s Honolulu Office or the Division of Consumer Advocacy.
