Public Safety Power Shutoff at the Ports of Kahului and Kaunakakai
November 15, 2024
Dear Valued Customers,
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a fire weather watch due to forecasted conditions which may lead to an increased risk of wildfires. We have been informed by Hawaiian Electric they are monitoring weather conditions across the state and MAY implement the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) program to proactively shut off power in high exposure communities.
Due to this, the power at the Ports of Kahului and Kaunakakai might be interrupted at any time through 6pm today, Friday, November 15, 2024. This may disrupt phone and internet access at the port, causing delays in email and telephone response.
The port will operate under normal gate hours. There are NO changes to the acceptance or pick-up of cargo.

Mahalo for your patience and understanding.
Sincerely,
