Notice of Modifications to Bill Due Dates for Hawaiian Electric Companies Customers
Posted on Feb 5, 2024 in Hot Topics, MainThe Hawaiian Electric Companies, including Hawaiian Electric Company, Inc., Hawaii Electric Light Company, Inc., and Maui Electric Company, Limited, are notifying the Commission of a modification to the bill due date effective March 1, 2024. The new payment deadline will be 15 days from the date of presentation, reduced from the current 19 days. This change, allowed by exisiting tariffs and rules, aims to enhance liquidity in response to credit rating challenges. The adjustment will be communicated to customers through various channels, and it wont impact late payment charges or disconnection terms. For inquiries, contact [email protected].
