Moratorium on disconnections of electric service for nonpayment for Maui customers extended through July 2

The disconnection of electric service for non-payment has been extended until July 2nd, 2024. This is to help Maui residents financially impacted by the wildfires.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • There will be no disconnections for non-payment until July 2nd.
  • If you are struggling to pay your bill, contact Hawaiian Electric at (808) 871-9777 to discuss payment arrangements.
  • Visit hawaiianelectric.com/paymentarrangement for more options and to submit a request.
  • While disconnections are on hold, you are still responsible for your bill.
  • For energy-saving tips and rebates, visit Hawaii Energy at https://hawaiienergy.com/tips

Important: If you are threatened with immediate disconnection, it may be a scam.
