JUNE 30 LICENSE RENEWAL DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JULY 31, 2020

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) Professional and Vocational Licensing Division (PVL) announced today that pursuant to the authority provided in Governor Ige’s Executive Order 20-04, the deadline to renew current licenses that expire on June 30, 2020, has been extended to July 31, 2020.

Licensees that hold an active and current license may continue to perform licensed activities until July 31, 2020, as permitted by current state law and administrative rules, in compliance with existing emergency proclamations and executive orders.

PVL is currently evaluating its physical space and work processes to adopt appropriate social distancing protocols. While that review and preparation process occurs, PVL is closed to walk-in service with an anticipated re-opening date following May 31st.

During this period of employee telework, the public is strongly encouraged to use PVL’s online services and to renew via the MyPVL portal at https://pvl.ehawaii.gov/mypvl.

PVL also has an array of online services available to assist applicants, licensees and the public. For a full listing and links to its online services, go to https://cca.hawaii.gov/covid19. PVL is also still accessible by phone at 808-586-3000.

The Professional and Vocational Licensing Division licenses 52 different professions and vocations to include 25 licensing regulatory boards and commissions as well as 27 licensing programs. PVL handles about 20,000 new applicants and over 60,000 license renewals, plus thousands of address or name changes annually.
