Mixed Martial Arts

The practice of mixed martial arts means unarmed combat involving a combination of techniques from different disciplines of martial arts. Grappling, kicking, and striking from kickboxing, pankration, muay Thai, and xtreme martial arts may be included.

A number of individuals involved in mixed martial arts contests (which include exhibition matches) must be licensed, including contestants, managers, seconds, promoters, judges, referees, and physicians.  Physicians must also be licensed to practice medicine in the State.
