For those who are enrolled in the Federal Communications Commission Lifeline Program, there are updated minimum service standards for mobile and fixed broadband users.
- Beginning December 1, 2021, the Lifeline minimum service standard for fixed broadband
data usage will be 1229 GB per month.
- Beginning December 1, 2021, mobile broadband minimum service standard is continued at 4.5 GB per month, for one year to give the Commission time to evaluate whether circumstances warrant longer-term modifications of the Lifeline program.
