State Hosts 11th Annual Financial Literacy Fair in Downtown Honolulu

HONOLULU – The Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) Office of the Securities Commissioner will host the 11th Annual Financial Literacy Fair on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tamarind Park, Bishop Square in Downtown, Honolulu.

As part of Financial Literacy Month in April, the Office of the Securities Commissioner is hosting an informational fair to provide free financial literacy information to the general public. The event will feature various government agencies and nonprofit organizations who will provide materials on saving and investing, insurance, home ownership preparation, dealing with credit, planning for retirement, tips on preventing financial fraud and more.

“We are pleased to host this annual event that connects the public with valuable information and services provided by DCCA and other trusted agencies,” said Acting Securities Commissioner Henry Tanji.  “Representatives from the various organizations will be available to answer questions on-site.”
