NATIONAL-INTERSTATE COUNCIL OF STATE BOARDS OF COSMETOLOGY (“NIC”) EXAMINATION

A passing score on the NIC examination is required to obtain a Hawaii Electrologist license. The testing agency, Prometric, continuously administers the NIC examination at computer-based test centers, and examination attempts are scheduled by appointment. EXAMINATION WAIVER

If you obtained a passing score on the NIC examination in another jurisdiction, you may qualify for an examination waiver.

APPROVAL FOR EXAMINATION

Within one week after you have been approved for examination, you will receive an email from ISO Quality Testing ([email protected]) with instructions to schedule an examination attempt. Please check your “Spam” or “Junk” email folders in the event the email is automatically filtered into those folders. If you have not received an email from ISO Quality Testing within one week after your approval, please contact ISO-Quality Testing at 866-773-1114, for questions related to exam registration.
