RESIDENT INSURANCE PRODUCER – INDIVIDUAL

All individual resident insurance producers must complete the required number of CE credit hours prior to license renewal. The total requisite number of credit hours shall be twenty-four credit hours.

If an insurance producer holds Life, Accident and Health or Sickness, Property, and Casualty lines of authority, the required credit hours consist of:

1. Ten credit hours relating to Life or Accident and Health or Sickness
2. Eleven credit hours relating to Property, Casualty, or Surety.
3. Three credit hours relating to ethics training or to insurance laws and rules.

If an insurance producer holds Life and Accident and Health or Sickness lines of authority, the required credit hours consist of:

1. Twenty-one credit hours relating to Life or Accident and Health or Sickness.
2. Three credit hours relating to ethics training or to insurance laws and rules.

If an insurance producer holds Property and Casualty lines of authority, the required credit hours consist of:

1. Twenty-one credit hours relating to Property or Casualty.
2. Three credit hours relating to ethics training or to insurance laws and rules.

If a new line of authority is added, a resident insurance producer shall fulfill the CE requirement for all lines of authority prior to license renewal. For example, if an insurance producer currently holds Property and Casualty lines of authority and later adds Life line of authority to the license, the insurance producer would need to complete 11 credits for P&C, 10 credits for Life and Accident & Health or Sickness, and 3 credits for ethics/rules prior to the License renewal.
