On-time renewals for the licensing period of May 1, 2016 to April 30, 2018 begins on Monday, March 7, 2016 and ends midnight (HST) Saturday, April 30, 2016
Renewal postcard reminders for Architect (AR), Landscape Architect (LA), Land Surveyor (LS) and Professional Engineer (PE) license types will be mailed out March 4, 2016
All online renewals will need to be submitted through “MyPVL” at https://pvl.ehawaii.gov/mypvl

Architects (AR) are required to have completed 16 credit hours of continuing education (CE) courses in public protection (health, safety, welfare) subjects in order to renew their license effective the April 30, 2008 renewal and every biennial renewal period thereafter. CE documentation is not required to be submitted with your renewal application.
Biennial April 30 every even numbered year. Failure to timely renew will result in the forfeiture of the license. A forfeited license may be restored in two years, subject to meeting restoration requirements. Failure to restore a forfeited license in two years will result in the termination of the license and the person must apply as a new applicant and meet current licensing requirements.
Late renewals/restorations for LA and LS license types with a license expiration date of April 30, 2016 can be submitted online via “MyPVL” at https://pvl.ehawaii.gov/mypvl from May 1, 2016 through midnight (HST), January 31, 2018 and are subject to a late renewal fee. After January 31, 2018, restorations must be submitted by hardcopy and are subject to a late renewal fee. Contact the DCCA/PVL to request a restoration application.
Late renewals/restorations for PE license types with a license expiration date of April 30, 2016 must be submitted by hardcopy and are subject to a late renewal fee. Contact the DCCA/PVL to request a restoration application.
Late renewals/restorations for AR license types with a license expiration date of April 30, 2016 must be submitted by hardcopy and must include proof of completion of the required continuing education (CE) and are subject to a late renewal fee. Contact the DCCA/PVL to request a restoration application.
Pursuant to Section 436B-14.5, HRS , any license held by a member of the armed forces, National Guard, or a reserve component that expires, is forfeited, or deemed delinquent while the member is on active duty and deployed during a state or national crisis shall be restored if certain restoration requirements are met.
