Hawaii Students Compete in Annual LifeSmarts Competition
Winner to Represent Hawaii at the National Competition in Seattle, WA
What:
- Hawaii LifeSmarts State Competition
When:
- Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015
- 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Where:
- State Capitol Auditorium
Who:
- Hawaii high school students in grades 9-12.
- Campbell High School
- Iolani School
- Waipahu High School (two teams)
The winner of the Hawaii competition will advance to the national competition, which will be held on April 17-20, 2015 in Seattle, WA.
LifeSmarts, a program of the National Consumers League, is a consumer education competition that tests teens in grades 9-12 about personal finance, health and safety, the environment, technology, and consumer rights and responsibilities.
LifeSmarts is brought to Hawaii by the DCCA Office of the Securities Commissioner in partnership with the Hawaii Credit Union League and is run by the National Consumers League.
