Contractor Firm and Sole Proprietor Renewal Requirements

CONTRACTOR RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS (for the licensing period of October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2024)

FIRMs and SOLE PROPRIETORs (Active Status) Must be current with the below at the time of renewal:

General liability insurance, valid thru October 1, 2022
Workers compensation insurance, valid thru October 1, 2022 (If no employees-must have filed exclusion from chapter 386, HRS form)
Bond (if required to maintain), valid thru October 1, 2022
Tax clearance from the Hawaii Department of Taxation (“DoTax”).
Note: 
The tax clearance that the DoTax mails out to contractors in late July Early – August 2022 is only used for contractor renewal licensing purposes only.  It replaces the tax compliance letter that DoTax provided in previous renewals.  Other agencies will not accept this tax clearance because DCCA is on the signature line.
Designated Principal RME (All RMEs must also be renewed before license will be renewed.)
