Broadband

Pursuant to Act 201 (2025), the following broadband statutes and rules under the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Cable Television Division have been repealed and/or amended:

§ 440G-11.5 – BROADBAND SERVICES (REPEALED):
Hawaii Revised Statutes § 440G-11.5 has been repealed, and the duties enumerated in this section have been transferred to the State of Hawaii Broadband Office. All inquiries relating to broadband should be directed to the Hawaii Broadband Office.

ACT 199 – BROADBAND ASSISTANCE ADVISORY COUNCIL (REPEALED):
Section 3 of Act 199 (2010) has been repealed thereby disbanding the Broadband Assistance Advisory Council.

ACT 151 NOTICES (AMENDED):
Section 2 of Act 151 (2011) has been amended to transfer administrative duties from the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) to the State of Hawaii Broadband Office for the intake and online posting of Act 151 notices. Please contact the State of Hawaii Broadband Office for inquiries and postings relating to Act 151.
