About us
The Business Registration Division (BREG) is a division of the State of Hawaii, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.

BREG is led by the Commissioner of Securities and the Deputy Securities Commissioner and is organized into 3 main areas:

• Business Registration – The Business Registration Branch is responsible for ministerial business registration, processing, and maintenance of business registration documents for public access.

• Business Action Center (BAC) – The BAC offers one-stop assistance to businesses applying for state business and employer registrations and state taxpayer IDs.

• Securities – The Business Registration Division also oversees state regulation of securities.  The Office of the Securities Commissioner provides regulatory oversight over the securities industry and franchises in the State and consists of 3 branches:
