State Encourages Online Renewals for Real Estate Professionals
Renewal Period Begins Oct. 20
HONOLULU — The state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) encourages more than 18,000 Hawaii real estate professionals to renew their licenses online at pvl.ehawaii.gov/mypvl, starting on Oct. 20, 2014.
State law requires real estate professionals to renew their licenses every two years. During the last renewal cycle in 2012, more than 14,000 licensees (about 93 percent) renewed their licenses online.
Online renewals will be accepted until midnight Dec. 31, 2014. After this date, renewals must be submitted by mail or in person.
To renew online, licensees must register with MyPVL, a new website that allows professional and vocational licensees access to all information regarding their license(s), including continuing education information and status, and license renewal. To access MyPVL, users will have to first create their own eHawaii.gov account. For more information on how to create your account, please visit the Real Estate Branch home page at www.hawaii.gov/hirec.
A renewal postcard notice with instructions to complete the online renewal has been mailed to each current license holder. The renewal application can be obtained by contacting the licensing branch at (808) 586-3000. Application forms may also be picked up in person at:
