Corinthian Outreach Information
The following information is from the Corinthian Colleges Outreach Program website (www.corinthianoutreach.com) before the Outreach Administrator discontinued maintaining the site.
The United States Department of Education, working with multiple state attorneys general, has found that former Corinthian Colleges, Inc. (“Corinthian”) students who attended specific programs at some campuses at certain times were defrauded by Corinthian. Corinthian operated schools under the names Everest Institute, Everest College, Everest University, Heald College, and WyoTech. Students who attended these programs are eligible to have the federal student loans used to attend the programs discharged and to receive reimbursement for payments made on those loans.
You may have recently received a letter or email from your state attorney general’s office or the Outreach Administrator (“Outreach Mailing”) in regard to the above mentioned loan discharge. If you received the Outreach Mailing, information provided by the U.S. Department of Education and Corinthian indicates that you likely attended a program affected by fraud. Borrowers who received an Outreach Mailing should confirm that they attended one of these programs. Programs affected by fraud at Heald College are listed in this downloadable pdf file.
