RENEWAL and RESTORATION INFORMATION

Biennial by December 31 every odd numbered year.

License Renewal Requirements

Renewal hardcopy applications for Certified General Appraiser (CGA), Certified Residential Appraiser (CRA) and State Licensed Appraiser (SLA) license types were mailed out November 3, 2017

You may have inadvertently received a green flyer insert with your hardcopy renewal application regarding renewing  your license online.  Real estate appraisers renewals cannot be submitted online and must be submitted via the hardcopy form.  We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

To be guaranteed a pocket card by December 31, 2017
Renewals should be submitted by November 30, 2017

Notice : To renew your license for the January 2018 – December 2019 period, you are required to submit an original certificate of completion of a National USPAP seven hour update course which you successfully completed in 2016 or 2017.

Failure to timely renew by the renewal date will result in the forfeiture of the license. After the renewal date, the forfeited license may be restored within 2 years and subject to meeting restoration requirements. Failure to restore a forfeited license within 2 years after the renewal date will result in the termination of the license and the person must apply as a new applicant and meet current license requirements.

Pursuant to Section 436B-14.5, HRS , any license held by a member of the armed forces, National Guard, or a reserve component that expires, is forfeited, or deemed delinquent while the member is on active duty and deployed during a state or national crisis shall be restored if certain restoration requirements are met.
