RENEWAL and RESTORATION INFORMATION
Biennial by June 30 every odd numbered year.
On-time renewals begin on Monday, April 17, 2017 and end midnight (HST) Friday, June 30, 2017
(for the licensing period of July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2019)

APRN licenses may renew online only if certified by a master’s degree and will be required to renew their APRN and RN license at the same time.
Failure to timely renew by license expiration date will result in the forfeiture of the license. After the license expiration date, the forfeited license may be restored within 2 years for LPN and RN; 6 months for APRN and subject to meeting restoration requirements. Failure to restore a forfeited license within the restoration period will result in the termination of the license and the person must apply as a new applicant and meet current licensing requirements.
Late renewals/restorations can be submitted online via “MyPVL” at https://pvl.ehawaii.gov/mypvl from July 1, 2017 through midnight (HST), March 31, 2019 for LPN and RN and are subject to a late renewal fee.
APRN’s must submit restorations via hardcopy by December 31, 2017 and are subject to a late renewal fee. Contact our Licensing Branch at (808) 586-3000 for a restoration application.
Pursuant to Section 436B-14.5, HRS , any license held by a member of the armed forces, National Guard, or a reserve component that expires, is forfeited, or deemed delinquent while the member is on active duty and deployed during a state or national crisis shall be restored if certain restoration requirements are met.
