 High School Students to Compete in Annual LifeSmarts Hawaii State Competition

What: LifeSmarts Hawaii State Competition
When: Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: State Capitol Auditorium
Who: Hawaii high school students. This year, the teams are from Iolani, Maryknoll, Pearl City and Waiakea.
Why: The winner of Saturday’s competition will represent Hawaii at the National competition in Denver, Colo. in April.

LifeSmarts, a program of the National Consumers League, is a consumer education competition that tests teens in grades 9-12 about Personal Finance, Health and Safety, the Environment, Technology, and Consumer Rights and Responsibilities.

The LifeSmarts Hawaii program is sponsored by the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Office of the Securities Commissioner in partnership with the National Consumers League and Hawaii Credit Union League.
