Limited Lines Motor Vehicle Rental Company Producer (Effective through 10/31/2010)

To qualify for a Limited Lines Motor Vehicle Rental Company Producer license, the applicant:

  1. Must be at least eighteen years of age;
  2. Any person who is engaged in the business of insurance or who is about to engage in the business of insurance in this State and who has been convicted of any felony shall request the commissioner’s written consent to engage in the business of insurance as required in §431:2-201.3†;
  3. Has paid the applicable fee;
  4. In addition, nonresident applicants must comply with §431:9A-108(a)(1-4), as follows:
    1. A nonresident applicant shall receive a nonresident limited lines motor vehicle rental company producer license if:
      1. The applicant is currently licensed as a resident limited lines motor vehicle rental company producer and is in good standing in the applicant’s home state;
      2. The applicant has submitted the proper request for licensure and has paid the required fees;
      3. The applicant has submitted or transmitted to the commissioner the application for licensure that the applicant submitted to the applicant’s home state, or in lieu of the same, a completed uniform application; and
      4. The applicant’s home state awards a limited lines motor vehicle rental company producer license to a resident of this State on the same basis.

A complete application for a Limited Lines Motor Vehicle Rental Company Producer license includes:

  1. For Individual applicants:
    1. FORM HPL (PDF) – one original ;
    2. Applicable license fees.
